Garry Ray Cloer

Garry Ray Cloer, 56, of Stony Point, passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2023.

Garry was born April 30, 1967, in Iredell County, to the late Robert Lee Cloer and Florence Pennell Cloer. He worked as a furniture stager and was of the Presbyterian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Annie Cloer; two nieces; and a great-niece.

Those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Jamie Cloer of Stony Point, and Garry’s twin brother, Larry Cloer of Statesville; two sisters, Gail Lackey of Conover, and Judy Lambert and husband Rob of Statesville; four nieces; four nephews; nine great-nieces; seven great-nephews; a great-great-niece; two great-great-nephews; a great-great-niece on the way; two fur babies, Foxy and F.J.; and a special friend, Jody Holland.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Chapman Funeral Home, 158 Stony Point School Dr., Stony Point. Rev. Sammy Kiser will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., at Chapman Funeral Home.
