Judith Dean York Gantt

Judith Dean York Gantt, 75, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Catawba County.

She was born to the late Raymond York and Dolly Canipe York on Thursday, July 15, 1948, in Burke County. Mrs. York was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Those left to cherish the memories of Judith include her brother, Robert Kelly York; sister, Janice Brown; and three nieces and nephews that she raised, Cynthia Moody, Chuck Wright, and Debby Miller, who was also her caregiver.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Eric Hauss will officiate.
