Tyrone Irvin Balthrop

Tyrone Irvin Balthrop, 65, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at his residence in Alexander County.

He was born to the late John and Cynthia Swann Balthrop on Tuesday, April 22, 1958, in the District of Columbia. Tyrone was employed at Tyson for many years until he retired. Mr. Balthrop was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish the memories of Tyrone include his wife of 13 years, Paulette Campbell Balthrop; children, Charmane Balthrop, Matthew McCurdy, and Mariah McCurdy; a special daughter, Ann Callahan; two god-children, Amber Flowers and Gideon Hunter; special god-son, Malachi Weaver; a sister; and two brothers.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Kevin Ussery and Minister Daniel Locklear will officiate. The family will serve as flower girls.
