James Everette “Binder” Adams

James Everette “Binder” Adams, 69, of Hiddenite, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023.

He was born November 17, 1954, in Iredell County, the son of the late Everette Reaford Adams and Elmeta Bennett Adams.

He was a US Air Force veteran and a member of Zion Chapel AME Zion Church. He worked in the furniture industry for several years and then at Mack Molding. He enjoyed racing lawnmowers and going fishing and loved his family.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Allen Adams; three sisters, Karen Blount, Anita Nichols, and Bonita Taylor; two nieces; and three nephews.

Those left to cherish and honor his memories include his sisters, Margaret Adams of Hiddenite, Frances Blount of Taylorsville, and Ray-Nell Poole of Hiddenite; two aunts, Florence Bennett Wilson of Hiddenite and Willie Mae Bennett of Statesville; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Home-Going Service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Zion Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery in Hiddenite with full military honors accorded by the Alexander Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
