Nola Avis Webster

Nola Avis Webster, 90, of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at her home.

Nola was born October 22, 1933, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Reuben L. Mecimore and Zora Gilbert Mecimore.

Mrs. Webster was a homemaker who loved her family very much. She loved her Lord and Savior, reading her Bible, cooking, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, whom she loved dearly, Jimmy Rae Webster; two sons, James Carl Webster and Steven Ray Webster; three brothers, Ernest Mecimore, Lindsey Mecimore, and Thad Mecimore; three sisters, Marian Mecimore Robinette, Leona Mecimore Childers, and Lacy Elizabeth Mecimore; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish and honor her memories include three sons, Gary Webster (Darlene) and Donald Webster (Susie), all of Taylorsville, and Joel Webster (Christine) of Lenoir; four daughters, Karen Barnes, Beverly Webster, Gail Braswell, and Melony Rhyne, all of Taylorsville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2023, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Timothy Sipe will officiate. Burial will be in the Harrington Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Anthony Webster, Shaun Webster, Brandon Webster, Cody Rhyne, Logan White, and Brayden White will serve as pallbearers.
