Redbird Ridge event venue opens

ONCE A DAIRY FARM, VENUE IS OPEN FOR WEDDINGS, MORE — The former Ellendale Farms property has reopened in recent days and is now known as Redbird Ridge Estate, a wedding and event venue on a former dairy farm. The large barn can accomodate wedding receptions and parties, while other parts of the 72-acre property will be suitable for ceremonies, retreats, nature walks, and other events.
Redbird Ridge Estate announces an exciting new chapter as they recently purchased the former Ellendale Farms property west of Taylorsville. Located on 72 breathtaking acres, the estate now invites couples, event planners, and retreat-goers to experience the beauty and serenity of this unique destination, where every love story and life journey is celebrated in harmony with nature.
With expansive mountain views, rolling meadows, and a peaceful ambiance, Redbird Ridge Estate is redefining what it means to host a destination wedding or meaningful retreat. The venue owners, Daron and Alisa Dwyer, have a commitment to excellence, hospitality, and purpose-driven events—offering a setting where unforgettable moments unfold.
“As the new stewards, we are honored to preserve the heart of this property while expanding its offerings,” said the new owners. “We believe love and transformation deserve to be celebrated in places that are not only beautiful, but also deeply restorative.”
This former dairy farm and its beautiful location enchanted the Dwyers, who currently live in Huntersville, NC. Daron is originally from Tennessee and Alisa grew up in New Jersey.
The Dwyers will host their first wedding event on May 25 at Redbird Ridge.

The interior of the large barn offers space for receptions, ceremonies, meetings, and has separate dressing areas for the bride and groom.
A Venue Designed for Unforgettable Weddings
Redbird Ridge Estate offers nine distinct ceremony sites, allowing couples to craft a wedding day that reflects their personal vision. From the scenic views of Barrett Mountain to warm spaces like the Main Hall, Small Chapel, Gazebo, Pond, Tobacco Barn, and Terrace, each setting invites connection, celebration, and awe.
Whether planning a grand affair or an intimate elopement, the estate provides versatile indoor and outdoor spaces tailored to host everything from elegant receptions to cozy vow renewals. It’s a destination designed to welcome couples from near and far; inviting them to begin their forever in a space that feels both majestic and personal.

This lush meadow, with views of Barrett Mtn. in the background, is one of nine wedding ceremony locations on the 72 acres of Redbird Ridge Estate.
A Sanctuary for Healing and Renewal
Beyond weddings and events, Redbird Ridge Retreats is proud to operate as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with a mission rooted in healing, reflection, and growth. The estate offers year-round faith-based retreats, wellness weekends, personal sabbaticals, and nature-immersive experiences, all designed to nurture the soul.
This can be for anyone in need of serenity and renewal: First Responders, ministry leaders, couples, trauma survivors, etc.
Guests are encouraged to explore the 15 meditation stations along the estate’s wooded path—spaces crafted for quiet contemplation, prayer, and mindfulness.

Good Afternoon,
I am actually looking for something for next year. My son is graduating from Bunker Hill High in Claremont, NC. We don’t live too far from Taylorsville, NC. I was just wondering how much it would be for a Graduation Party in June 2026?
Sincerely,
Darla
I am so excited for you both. This is a dream come true, and what a gorgeous venue! God’s Abundant Blessings today & Always! Love you!
After visiting with you on the Estate for a week, I witnessed the spirit of Excellence in every area; your beautiful warm home also used as an AirB&B, the farm aspect with the chickens, goats, bunnies, the organic gardens, and the Wedding/Party and Conference Venue amidst 72 acres of gorgeous land, I am in AWE. I experienced the immense effort entailed in running this fabulous dream and your heart and soul for people to experience the greatest beginnings and continued healing journeys for their lives. God’s Blessings are upon you both.
