Alexander County Schools dismissed early on Monday, March 12, 2018, due to deteriorating weather and road conditions. Student drivers were dismissed first, and buses were dismissed as soon as drivers returned to school, or at 9:00 a.m. Officials said it was at the parent’s discretion whether to allow a student to drive or to pick them up.
