“Keys to the County” presented on Dec. 3

 

On Monday, December 3, 2018, at the regular meeting of the Alexander County Board of Commissioners, three people were honored with a “Key to the County” at the meeting.

Ben Hines, outgoing Register of Deeds, was recognized for his 32 years of service to the county. Outgoing commissioners Milton Campbell and Josh Lail were also recognized for their four years of service on the board.

Commissioners elected Dr. Jeff Peal as chairman and Ronnie Reese as vice chairman of the Board of Commissioners. They will assume these roles in January.

Members of the Alexander County Board of Commissioners include: Dr. Jeff Peal, Ronnie Reese, Ryan Mayberry, Marty Pennell, and Larry Yoder.

The 2019 meeting schedule includes the following dates: January 7, February 4, March 11, April 1 & 15, May 6 & 20, June 3 & 17, July 22, August 5, September 9, October 7, November 4, and December 2. Meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. in room #103 at the CVCC Alexander Center for Education. The public is invited to attend.

KEY TO THE COUNTY — Ellendale resident and outgoing Register of Deeds Benjamin W. Hines (above right) was presented the Key to the County for his 32 years (8 terms) served in that office, by Commissioner Jeff Peal (left) on Dec. 3.

 

Outgoing county commissioners Josh Lail (center) and Milton Campbell (right) were also recognized Dec. 3, 2018, for their four years of service on the board. Both were presented the Key to the County award by commissioner Ronnie Reese (left).
