Peggy Hall Carson

Peggy Hall Carson, 63, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Frye Regional Medical Center.

Peggy was born on January 16, 1959, in Welch, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Jessie Hall and Mary Overbee Hall.

She worked as a CNA for Alexander County Home Health and was of the Baptist faith. She loved watching soap operas on TV. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandbabies.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Cole Carson; brothers, King, James, Bill and Freddy Hall; and sisters, Lottie Hall, Virginia Duran, Frankie Dillon, Lonnie Carter, and Patricia Bassett.

Those left to cherish and honor her memories include her husband of 44 years, Stoney Carson of the home; her daughters, Cassie Ostrander (Ben) and Jessica Mecimore (Jeremy), all of Taylorsville; her son, Brian Carson (Kisha) of Taylorsville; her grandchildren, Jordan, Brandon, Taylor, Caleb, Justin, Bella and Kensley Mecimore, Joshua Ostrander, Chesney Ostrander, Mason Moore, Keaton Carson, and Bailey Carson; her sisters, Wilma Bishop (Hubert) of Virginia, and Melinda Icenhour (Lynn) of North Carolina; her brothers, Ronnie Hall (Mary) of Taylorsville, and Terry Hall (Barbara) of Wilkesboro; special friend, Judy Wallen; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Beulah Baptist Church. Pastor Keith Bowman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers include Joshua Ostrander, Jordan Mecimore, Brandon Mecimore, Ben Fortner, Anthony Bishop, and Corey Hall.

Honorary pallbearers include Keaton Carson, Mason Moore, Caleb Mecimore, and Justin Mecimore.
