School Board will be partisan elections soon

The method of election of the Alexander County Board of Education will be partisan elections, starting in the next election cycle, after a referendum passed on Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the county.

Those in favor of the measure were 52.80 percent, or 9,537 votes, with 47.20 percent, or 8,527 votes against.
