Frances Jones Roberts

Frances Jones Roberts, 86, of Hiddenite, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Ridge Valley Center in Wilkesboro.

Frances was born February 24, 1939, in Casar, NC, the daughter of the late Clyde Jones and Mary Brooks Jones.

Frances retired from the Alexander County School System, where she was a teacher. She was also the co-owner of Roberts Saddle Shop in Hiddenite. She was a member of the Taylorsville Church of God. Frances loved to travel and enjoyed working puzzles.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest J. Roberts; her daughter, Sandra Gayle Roberts Allison; her sisters, Lillian Howell and Grace Pearce; and her brothers, Kenneth Jones and Steve Jones.

Those left to cherish and honor Frances’ memories include her sons, Keith Allen Roberts (Lisa) of Hiddenite, and Danny Ray Roberts of Hiddenite; her grandchildren, April Roberts Hopkins (Daniel), Brittany Roberts Collins (Danny), Coty Shane Roberts, Corey Elijah Moretz, Karen Cierra Delaney, Dackota Scott Settle, and Dalton Siler (Kim); her great-grandchildren, Alexis Mecimore, Nevaeh Hinson, Jacob Moretz, Liam Delaney, Aaden Roberts, Brennon Harrell, Bryden Parker, Gage Siler, Gracie Parker, and Lilyann Henderson; her brother-in-law, Frank Pierce; her sisters-in-law, Faye Jones and Paula Jones; and a number of other family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held at Noon, Saturday, June 14, 2025, in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hiddenite Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until Noon prior to the service.

    Francis was such a good friend who always had a smile on her face. And such a sweetheart to be around .
    She will surely be missed
