Multiple arrests made Monday at local home

Local authorities made five arrests in two separate visits to a local home in a single day, according to Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell.

On Monday, June 16, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Alexander County 911 Center received a call reporting a breaking and entering on Pop Davis Road. Officers arrived on the scene and, after an investigation, arrested Dustin Jenkins and Tiffany Rector.

Dustin Shane Jenkins, W/M, age 29, of Taylorsville, was arrested and charged with one count of Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering and one count of Felony Possession of Methamphetamine. Jenkins has a first District Court appearance on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Tiffany Danielle Rector, W/F, age 32, of Taylorsville, was arrested and charged with one count of Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine on Jail Premises, and one count of Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Rector was also charged with warrants from a 2024 case, one count of Trafficking Methamphetamine and one count of Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling for Controlled Substance. Rector has a first District Court appearance on July 21, 2025.

Later in the afternoon, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Alexander County 911 Center received a call reporting a breaking and entering at the same location on Pop Davis Road. Officers arrived on the scene and, after an investigation, arrested Kirston Smith, Amanda Daniel, and Robert Britting.

Kirston Ashleigh-Dawn Smith, W/F, age 31, of Taylorsville, was arrested and charged with one count of Felony Breaking Entering and Larceny. Smith has a first District Court appearance on June 23, 2025.

Amanda Nan Daniel, W/F, age 30, of Taylorsville, was arrested and charged with one count of Felony Breaking Entering and Larceny. Daniel has a first District Court appearance on June 23, 2025.

Robert John Britting, W/M, age 40, of Taylorsville, was arrested and charged with one count of Felony Breaking Entering and Larceny. Britting has a first District Court appearance on June 23, 2025.
