Early Voting ends Saturday
The Early Voting Period for the March 3, 2026, Primary Election in Alexander County began February 12 and continues on weekdays through Friday, February 27, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The single Saturday for Early Voting is February 28, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Early Voting location is the CVCC Alexander Applied Technologies Center, located at 230 Industrial Blvd., Taylorsville.
As of Tuesday evening, February 24, some 1,677 voters had cast ballots in Early Voting, a turnout of about 6.5 percent of the county’s 25,729 registered voters.
On Election Day, Tuesday, March 3, voting will only take place at precinct voting locations, as follows:
• Bethlehem 1 Precinct, Shiloh Lutheran Church, 1011 Shiloh Church Rd., Hickory.
• Bethlehem 2 Precinct, Bethlehem Community Fire/Rescue, 7373 NC Hwy. 127, Taylorsville.
• Ellendale Precinct, St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1364 Church Rd., Taylorsville.
• Gwaltney 1-2 Precinct, Hiddenite Fire Station #2, 4472 Cheatham Ford Road, Hiddenite.
• Little River Sugar Loaf Precinct, Little River Community Building, 2141 Little River Church Rd., Taylorsville.
• Millers Precinct, Drumstand Community Building, 7830 Paul Payne Store Rd., Taylorsville.
• Sharpes 1-2 Precinct, Hiddenite Fire Department, 4975 NC Hwy. 90 East, Hiddenite.
• Taylorsville 1-4-5 Precinct, Alexander Senior Center, 730 7th Street SW, Taylorsville.
• Taylorsville 2-3 Precinct, Alexander County YMCA, 260 Black Oak Ridge Road, Taylorsville.
• Wittenburg Precinct, Friendship Lutheran Church, 5300 Church Rd., Taylorsville.
