Janelle Bowman Price

Janelle Bowman Price, 80, passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday evening, September 1, 2016, after a yearlong battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
She was born December 24, 1935, in Alexander County, to parents, Carrol Monroe and Merlie Stafford Bowman.
She was a homemaker, kept children in the home, and worked and retired in the furniture industry at Clayton-Marcus Furniture. A lifelong member and Sunday school teacher at Liledoun Baptist Church, she enjoyed cooking, canning, crossword puzzles, traveling, and most of all, her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gurthie, Ray and Kelly Bowman; and a sister, Helen Fox.
Surviving siblings are sisters, Ruth Isenhour of Charlotte, and Betty Dyson of Taylorsville.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 60 years, Wade Price of the home; a daughter, Jan Watson and husband Mike of Taylorsville, Mickey Price and partner Bobby Talbert of Hickory, and Rickey Price and wife Melissa of Taylorsville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Chassity Capito and husband Nick, Tyler Watson, Felicity Price and fiancé Justin Mayberry, and Nathan Price. Great-grandchildren are Paisley and Parker Capito.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Liledoun Baptist Church. Rev. James Lockee and Rev. Coy Walker officiated. Graveside service was conducted by Rev. James Bumgarner in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Jimmy Davis, Levaughn Brown, Brent Presnell, Tim Dyson, Alan Fox, and Leroy Kennedy.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.

    Was so very sorry to get this news in Sept…
    NELL , was such a great person. Terry has such great memories growing up with her as his aunt, and I really always enjoyed our times together too. We had such a great time together when she and Betty came for a visit. She , we know, is missed but will never be forgotten .Our prayers continue for all of the family. So glad to of been fortunate enough to have been a part of her life.We miss her today and everyday.
