Linwood Barrie Moore

Linwood Barrie Moore, 81, of Taylorsville, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at his home.

Linwood was born September 7, 1944, in Wake County, the son of the late Tolley Greene Moore and Geneva Upchurch Moore.

Linwood proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church and attended Fairview Baptist Church. Later in life, he owned his own business, Moore’s Wholesale.

Those left to cherish and honor Linwood’s memories include his wife of seven years, Minnie Levan Moore; his daughter, Amanda Moore Browning; his stepsons, Lynn Levan and Michael Levan; and his brothers, Maynard Moore and Harold Moore.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at Fairview Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Pastor Durrant Barr will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church.
