Irene Tew

As the sun was setting on Sunday, February 9, 2025, Irene Tew, 91, of Hickory, was welcomed into Heaven to meet her Savior Jesus Christ.

Irene was born in Caldwell County to the late Marvin Annas and Rose Oxford Annas on October 17, 1933. Irene was a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church in Hudson.

Those left to cherish and honor Irene’s memories include her husband of 53 years, Frank Tew of the home; her daughters, Gail Hubbard of Granite Falls, and Gloria Hubbard of Hudson; and her brother, Steve Annas.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church, 4676 Horseshoe Bend Road, Hudson, NC 28638. Pastor Lonnie Bell and Pastor Jeffery Strading will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Medi Home Hospice.
