Gaylord Thornton Marshall

Gaylord Thornton Marshall, 80, affectionately known as “G,” passed away peacefully at his home in Alexander County on April 30, 2026. Born to the late Gerald Edward Marshall and Amelia Grace Witt Marshall on March 29, 1946, in Black Hawk, Iowa, Gaylord served as an assistant pastor at Godley Prairie Community Church in New Boston, Texas.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Judith Kay Marshall; his daughter, Lori Lawing; and his sister, Marcy Chapman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Alive Church on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
