Gina Ann Foster Reese, 61, of Taylorsville, left this earthly life on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at her home.

Born on April 14, 1965, in Iredell County, Gina was the daughter of the late Edward Foster and Beverly Laws Foster.

In addition to her parents, Gina was preceded in death by her former husband, Roger Reese; her beloved grandparents, Evelyn and Alf Laws, Nellie Johnson, and Edward Lee Foster Sr.; and her baby brother, Brian Foster.

Gina’s love for country music ran deep. She was a talented vocalist and signed a recording contract with RCA in the early 1990s. One of her proudest accomplishments was performing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, a memory she treasured. She earned numerous honors throughout her career, including Florida Female Vocalist of the Year. She also enjoyed crafting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Gina loved the Lord and developed a close relationship with Jesus as she grew older. Her faith brought her comfort and strength throughout her life.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Ashley Schreiber, and wife, Kristen Wells, along with their children, Destyni, Max, and Cyrus; her daughter, Zahra Schreiber and partner, Matthew Bagwell, along with their children, Layne and Ozzie; her son, Zachary Schreiber and wife, Heather, along with their children, Lindsey, Zachary, and Avery; her Godson, Derrick Byerly, and wife, Karina, and his daughter, Chesney; her brothers, John Laws and Terry Foster; and many other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Preacherman Chris Williams officiating.
