Marie Ester Bentley Williams McMahon
Marie Ester Bentley Williams McMahon, 74, of the Bethlehem Community, unexpectedly went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her residence.
Born on August 14, 1943, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Leslie and Mabel Link Bentley. She loved God and her family. She was a faithful member of Smyrna Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she sang in the choir and attended the Women’s SS Class.
She worked in the hosiery industry for over 25 years, for Moretz Mills and Wade Hosiery, until retirement. Marie had such a pure heart and never had a cross word to say about anyone. She was one of the most gracious and caring women that you could ever meet, with a heart of gold.
Marie was a treasure to her family as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was truly a jewel in this world and will forever remain in our hearts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 43 years, Gary Williams, and an infant sibling.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 12 years, Crafton McMahon of the home; daughter, Sharon Presnell (Brent) of Taylorsville; sons, Donald Williams (Lesia) of Taylorsville, and Phillip Williams (Melanie) of Hiddenite; step-daughter, Danielle Bodman (Leslie) of Maine; step-son, Michael McMahon (Renee) of Easley, South Carolina; sisters, Linda Bradshaw (Larry) of Mt. View, and Ruby Carter and Susan Meade (Henry), both of Taylorsville; brothers, Charles Bentley (Nancy) of Mt. View, Luther Bentley of Maiden, and Hayden Bentley (Anna) of Cary; grandchildren, Brooks Presnell (Natalie), Destry Presnell (Aleshia Adair), Bailey, Logan, Chandler and Karsyn Williams, Colely Conner, and Cassidy, Cristen and Carmen Meade; great-grandchildren, Delia, Ryan and Evie Presnell; step-grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Hannah, and Caleb; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
