Roby “Dwayne” Warren, 80, of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Dwayne will lie-in-state at Alexander Funeral Service on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday, December 11, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; and Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Jennings officiating.
Dwayne was born on February 1, 1940 the son of the late A.Y. Cornelius and Mildred Irene Fox Warren. During his career, he worked for Warren Logging and Plato Carson Propane. Dwayne was a member at Macedonia Baptist Church and loved his family dearly. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to all. Dwayne was a beef cow producer and was also a master gardener, selling and giving his produce away.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, J.C. Warren.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Linda Jolly Warren of the home; children, Sherry Dishmond (Edwin), Susan Watson, and Michael Warren (Kelly), all of Taylorsville, and Matt Warren (Tabby) of Hiddenite; seven grandchildren, Stacy (Danny), Jon, Cheyenne, Montana, Houston, Jeremiah, and Maleah; great-grandsons, Jayden and Corbin; sister, Kathryn Ayers (Tommy) of Taylorsville; brothers, Paul Warren and Gary Warren (Kaye), both of Taylorsville; along with several nieces and nephews.
