Donnie Jay Shumaker

Donnie Jay Shumaker, 71, born to John Vance Shumaker and Gladys Dishmond Shumaker on October 28, 1954, in Iredell County, passed away peacefully at his home in Iredell County on June 23, 2026.

Donnie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union Grove.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Shumaker, and his children, Michelle Mooe, Eric Mooe, Shanna Speaks, and Chris Mooe.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 300 Indian Hill Rd, Union Grove, NC 28689. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Stephen Pope will officiate.
