Michael “Seth” Marsh

Michael “Seth” Marsh
Michael “Seth” Marsh, 26, of Taylorsville, unexpectedly left this world but went to enter his eternal home in heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 19, 2018.
He was born on August 28, 1991, in Catawba County, the son of Stephen Ray and Rebecca Ann Rogers Marsh. Throughout his life, Seth worked for the Catawba County DOT, but his love and passion was for preaching as a Pastor for Russell Gap Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but most of all a fisherman for men.
Seth was an amazing father to his children, along with being a great husband, son, brother, and friend. Even though his life down here on earth was for a short time, what he did in that short time was beyond measure. His love and care for people was shown wherever he went. Seth will truly be missed in this world, but he will forever be a treasure in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Bobby Rogers, and paternal grandfather, James Richard Wright.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of two years, Katy Carpenter Marsh of the home; his children, Braelynn and Issac Seth Marsh; brother, Stephen Marsh, II and wife Marissa of Taylorsville; cousins, Aaron Watts of Lincolnton, and Jordan Watts of Claremont; best friend, Koty Wheeler of Wilkesboro; nephew, Josiah Marsh; maternal grandmother, Betty Miller; uncle and aunt, Scott and Bobbi Watts; and special friends, Becky Brown and Tim and Vondie Green.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 23, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Liledoun Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., at Liledoun Baptist Church, with Rev. James Lockee officiating. The body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Stephen Marsh, II, Aaron Watts, Jordan Watts, Koty Wheeler, Dusty Roberts, and Josh Conner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Seth’s Fund for his Children’s Education (SECU in Taylorsville – Attn: Kaitlyn Marsh’s Special Account at PO Box 327, Taylorsville, NC 28681).
Condolences may be sent to www.alexfuneralservice.com.
